What Your Telehealth Fee Covers
The fee covers the professional consultation — not a guaranteed prescription or predetermined outcome.
Your consultation fee pays for the practitioner’s time, assessment and clinical decision-making. Depending on the service and your circumstances, the consultation may include advice, treatment planning, a referral, a certificate or a prescription where clinically appropriate. Follow-up consultations are charged separately unless a package expressly states otherwise.

Are these consultations Medicare-claimable?
DocTel consultations are privately billed and are not claimed through Medicare. A receipt or invoice can be provided for your records.
Do your prices include follow-up appointments?
Each consultation is billed separately unless a service is specifically presented as a package. Where a follow-up or review fee is available, it is listed on this page before booking.
Are prescriptions and certificates included in the price?
For eligible GP services, a practitioner may issue an electronic prescription, referral or medical certificate when clinically appropriate. These outcomes are not guaranteed. Medicanna follows its own private prescription pathway and does not provide medicinal-cannabis eScripts.
How do after-hours rates work?
The after-hours GP rate applies outside DocTel’s standard business hours and on weekends and public holidays. The applicable fee is displayed before you complete the booking.
Can I reschedule or cancel a booking?
Rescheduling, cancellation and refund conditions depend on the service, timing and circumstances. Review the applicable booking terms or contact DocTel before changing a confirmed appointment.
Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Any promotional price or discount will be clearly identified at the time it is offered. Standard consultation fees are listed on this page.
How much is an online GP consultation with DocTel?
DocTel currently lists a $49 short GP consultation, a $60 standard GP consultation and a $90 after-hours, weekend or public-holiday GP consultation. Choose the consultation type that matches your needs and review the fee before payment.
Does the consultation fee include medication or pharmacy costs?
No. The prices on this page are consultation fees unless a service explicitly states otherwise. Medication, pharmacy, dispensing, pathology, imaging and other third-party costs are separate where applicable.
