Business Development Manager (Telehealth / HealthTech)

Position: Business Development Manager – Remote (Australia)

Stream: Growth / Partnerships / Commercial

Type: Full-time or Part-time Contract

Location: Fully Remote, Australia-wide

Position Summary:

As DocTel continues to expand its national telehealth footprint, we’re seeking a driven Business Development Manager to identify new growth opportunities, forge partnerships, and strengthen our presence across clinical, corporate, and allied sectors.
You’ll play a key role in scaling DocTel’s practitioner network, patient reach, and strategic collaborations with healthcare organisations, insurers, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across DocTel’s service lines (GP, Mental Health, Medicanna, Nutrition, and VetCare).
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with clinics, practitioners, and referral networks.
  • Negotiate and manage commercial agreements, proposals, and partnership frameworks.
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to align growth strategies and campaigns.
  • Track key performance metrics and prepare periodic business reports.
  • Represent DocTel in meetings, events, and digital-health forums as required.

 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate qualification in a health-related field (e.g. health science, public health, or allied health).

  • Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Management (MBA or equivalent preferred).

  • 5+ years’ experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles — ideally within health, tech, or digital services.

  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, negotiate contracts, and build long-term relationships.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
