Position Summary:

You’ll provide remote antenatal and postnatal support to women and families across Australia through secure telehealth consultations. As a member of DocTel’s Women’s Health team, you’ll deliver evidence-based education, guidance, and reassurance at every stage of the maternal journey — from pregnancy to postpartum care. This is a flexible, patient-focused role designed for experienced midwives who value autonomy, compassion, and clinical excellence within a remote practice model.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual consultations for antenatal, postnatal, and general maternity support.

• Provide education on pregnancy, labour preparation, breastfeeding, and newborn care.

• Identify clinical concerns and escalate or refer to appropriate services as needed.

• Maintain clear, compliant documentation and uphold privacy standards.

• Collaborate with GPs, obstetricians, and allied health professionals when required.

• Contribute to DocTel’s standards of compassionate, accessible maternal healthcare.

Requirements:

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Midwife (or dual registration as Nurse/Midwife).
• Demonstrated experience in antenatal, postnatal, or community midwifery.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and patient education skills.
• Comfortable with telehealth technologies and digital record systems.
• Commitment to patient safety, privacy, and culturally inclusive care.
